An opt in might be the perfect way to build your newsletter list. You offer your reader a free download, eBook, or online course depending on your preference. Taking the plunge with Leadpages took me a while. I don't want you to make the same mistake. Always budget conscious I waited many months before going for signing up for Leadpages. I can honestly, wholeheartedly say that Leadpages has fundamentally changed the way I run my business. So, you could say that I am madly in love with Leadpages. True story.

How to Easily Create a Successful & Beautiful Opt In with Leadpages

#1 – Go to LeadpagesĀ & login to your account. Don't have one? Do yourself a favor & sign up! šŸ™‚

#2 – Go to the right to your name, click on the drop-down arrow, and choose “Lead-Magnet Delivery“

#3 – Look to the right side, you should see a button that reads “Upload New File”. Click on it.

#4 -Choose the document you'd like to add as a Lead-Magnet for your Opt-In

#5 -Add a name for the opt-in file, a message your reader will receive, your name, and your email. Save.

#6 -Create a new leadpage. In the upper toolbar, click on “LeadPages”. There is a button on the upper right side that reads choose “Create New Page”. Click on it.

{Pro tip: You have loads of opt in options available for free and for purchase. I always filter by “highest converting”.}

#7 – Choose a templateNext, look to the right. You should see a drop down that reads “Filter By: All Templates”. Click on it. The first line shows a free or premium option. Choose “show premium”. It defaults to free only. I choose “Opt In” templates but the other categories might work for you, too. So, don't rule them out.

#8 – Design your template

#9 – On the “Call to Action” button, choose “Opt-In Form”.

#10 – On the left, choose “yes” or “green” for ” “Send An Email After Someone Opts-in On This Leadbox”.

#11 – Select your lead-magnet from the dropdown box. If you don't see your lead-magnet, refresh the list.

#12 – Design your Opt-In LeadBox

#13 – Integrate with your newsletter provider. I have Convert Kit, so it was a bit trickier. Many integrations are less complicated. Get in touch with me to learn about Convert Kit integration and I'll help you out.

#14 – Choose your Thank You page (also available within Leadpages, go back to templates and create a new page)Ā I create separate Thank You pages depending on theĀ purpose of the Opt-In.

#15 – Save & Publish your LeadPage. Then, go back to your blog post, newsletter, or social media post. Add the link to the LeadPage.

Voila! Let me know how it goes!
